MAYOR MARILYN STRICKLAND - CITY OF TACOMA, WASHINGTON, USA AND HER DELEGATION OFFICIAL VISITS AND WORK IN VIETNAM

HQC – From 31/03/2016 to 03/04/2016, Mayor Marilyn Strickland of Tacoma City, Washington, USA and her delegations official visited and worked with Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Planning and Investment, State Securities Commission of Vietnam and Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) in Vietnam. Hoang Quan Consulting-Trading-Service Real Estate Corporation (HOSE stock code: HQC) honored to connect the visit and work in the meetings with the Mayor of Tacoma and her delegation in Vietnam.

Mayor Marilyn Strickland of Tacoma City, Washington, USA and her delegations are Mr. Ricardo Noguera  - Director of Community and Economic Development, Ms. Debbie Bingham – International Program Specialist, Mr. Micheal Fowler – Senior Consultant, World Trade Center Tacoma. Tacoma is the third biggest city in Washington State, the United States, which famous with many big economy industries and high quality education environment.

In the morning, 1st April 2016, the City of Tacoma had the meeting with Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung – Member of Central Committee of the Communist Party, member of Civil Affairs Committe of the Minister of Planning and Investment, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. The City of Tacoma introduced the investment environment in Tacoma and shared the tax incentives policies,  information for foreign investment, such as Ministry of Planning and Investment accepted to license investment abroad to HQC. The City of Tacoma provided information about activities between Vietnam and the United States, the produces that import directly to Port of Tacoma. The delegation believes that Vietnam joined TPP trade agreement will tighten corporation between the two countries and promote bilateral trade.

Mr.Nguyen Tri Dung – Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment shared about Vietnamese investment environment and tax incentive for FDI. Mr. Dung also expressed the desire to promote bilateral trade between Vietnam and City of Tacoma by creating favorable conditions and support for Vietnam enterprises, typical Hoang Quan Company in investment projects in Tacoma.

At 2pm, 1st April, 2016, Mayor of Tacoma and her delegations met and worked with Mr. Le Quang Hung – Deputy of Construction. In the meeting, the Mayor and Mr. Hung shared information about investment environment, real estate market in Tacoma and Vietnam, investment policy, investment management in real estate, policies of housing for low- and medium income. In particular, the City of Tacoma praised the social housing policy and stimulus packages in Vietnam of 30,000 billion contributed greatly to social security. The delegation also informed to the Ministry of Construction on the Vietnam enterprises are investing in real estate projects in Tacoma, such as Hoang Quan Group. The City Council will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese business to fulfill the investment objective in Tacoma.

Hoang Quan Group also reported directly to Deputy Minister of Construction about real estate activities in Tacoma and receive the great supports from the City of Tacoma government.

Mr. Le Quang Hung – Deputy Minister of Construction thanked for supports of Tacoma to Vietnamese enterprises, such as Hoang Quan Group and expressed the City of Tacoma continued support in order for Vietnemese enterpises to develop and invest in Tacoma.

At 15h30, 1st April, 2016, Mr. Vu Bang – Chairman of State Securities of Vietnam (SSC) welcomed the Mayor of Tacoma and her delegations in SSC. The City of Tacoma and SSC learned, shared an overview of Stock market of Vietnam and the United States. The Tacoma delegation praised the role of the SSC  to regulate securities activities in Vietnam, helping to stabilize the markets and economic growth. When Vietnamese enterprise invest to the US investors, the stock market is efficient channel for capital mobilization, demonstrated the important role of the Commission. Mr. Vu Bang expressed that SSC will actively support the businesses listed, typical Hoang Quan Company in raising investment projects of social housing in the Vietnam as well as in the United States.

In 2nd April, 2016, Mayor of Tacoma and her delegation met and worked with VNREA leading by Mr. Tran Ngoc Quang – General Secretary, Mr. Truong Anh Tuan, Deputy Chairman. The Mayor of Tacoma and VNREA  shared information about real estate and investment environment in Vietnam and Tacoma, invesment policy, tax incentive in real estate for foreign investors. With the role of management, consulting and support member, VNREA will consider, provide information to members and connect the investors to Tacoma market.

In the afternoon of 2nd April, 2016, the City of Tacoma visited typical real estate projects in Hanoi, including Sunny Garden City (CEO Quoc Oai residential area), Thang Long Number One (Viglacera), Dang Xa residential area (Viglacera). The Mayor Marilyn Strickland was impressd with the scale of the projet and effective success in social housing policy of Vietnam, typically Dang Xa Social Housing in the North and HQC Plaza Social Housing in the South

Previously, in Ho Chi Minh City, on 31st March, 2016, the City of Tacoma visited HQC Plaza social housing the Hoang Quan is the owner and Golden King – Commercial Office Building in Phu My Hung residential and finance (District 7) that Hoang Quan Group and Indochina Real Estate Company are the owner. After visit the projects, the City of Tacoma delegations met and discussed information, investment with Dr. Truong Anh Tuan – Chairman cum CEO and Board of Director of Hoang Quan Group in Hoang Quan’s head office.

In the meeting, the delegations expressed the desire that this visit can lead to opportunities to know about environment, long corporation between Tacoma and HQC , Vietnamese investors in the future.
